Leading the charge this year is Texas Roadhouse, a long-time supporter of the military community. On Monday, November 11, 2025, the chain will hand out free meal vouchers to veterans and active service members from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Unlike typical dine-in offers, these vouchers can be redeemed through May 2026, giving veterans the flexibility to enjoy their meal whenever they choose.
Each voucher covers a full entrée, two sides, and a drink, with favorites like the 6-ounce sirloin, country fried chicken, or pulled pork dinner.
“It’s not just a free meal it’s our way of honoring their service with the comfort of a great steak,” said a Texas Roadhouse spokesperson in a statement.
Starbucks, Krispy Kreme, and Dunkin’ A Morning of Appreciation
Because gratitude should start with caffeine (and maybe a little sugar), several coffee and donut giants are joining in too.
- Starbucks is offering a free tall (12 oz) hot or iced coffee for veterans, active-duty personnel, and their spouses. Participating stores will also donate $100,000 to organizations that support military families.
- Krispy Kreme is giving away one free doughnut and small coffee to every veteran who visits on Veterans Day no purchase necessary.
- Dunkin’ Donuts is also celebrating with a free donut of choice for veterans at all participating U.S. locations.
It’s a small token, but one that turns an ordinary Monday into a sweet moment of recognition.
Applebee’s, Chili’s, and Cracker Barrel Offer Classic Comforts
If you’re in the mood for something hearty, Applebee’s continues its annual Veterans Day tradition with free full-size entrées from a special menu including fan favorites like the Bacon Cheeseburger, Chicken Tenders Platter, and Fiesta Lime Chicken.
Similarly, Chili’s Grill & Bar is inviting veterans to enjoy one free entrée from a curated Veterans Day menu, available for dine-in customers only.
And let’s not forget Cracker Barrel, where veterans can enjoy a complimentary Pumpkin Pie Latte or Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake with any meal purchase.
“For us, this is more than a discount it’s a moment of connection and gratitude,” said a Cracker Barrel regional manager.
Chipotle, Olive Garden, and Red Lobster Join the Lineup
Veterans Day 2025 fast-casual and sit-down chains are also stepping up in big ways. Chipotle is giving away buy-one-get-one-free entrées to veterans and active-duty members, available in-store with valid military ID.
Meanwhile, Olive Garden is offering a free entrée from a special menu featuring classics like Fettuccine Alfredo and Chicken Parmigiana, served with unlimited breadsticks and salad.
Seafood lovers can drop by Red Lobster, where veterans receive a complimentary Shrimp & Chips entrée all day long.
Local Businesses Join the Wave of Kindness
Beyond the big names, Veterans Day 2025 countless local diners, pizzerias, and bakeries across the country are hosting their own Veterans Day events from discounted family meals to free desserts for military guests.
