South Africa versus India Live Score, Day 2 of the Second Test: Kuldeep Yadav led India with a four-wicket haul, while Marco Jansen was left furious after missing out on his first Test century as South Africa amassed 489. On Day 2 of the second Test in Guwahati on Sunday, India heaved a sigh of relief as Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj scored in the ensuing post-lunch session. Simon Harmer (5) was dismissed by Bumrah, while Senuran Muthusamy (109) was crucially removed by Siraj. Muthusamy led his team to 428/7 in 137 overs at lunch after scoring a ton in the pre-lunch session.
In the meantime, Marco Jansen (51*) reached fifty as well, forming a strong alliance with Muthusamy. After Tea, Kyle Verreynne was stumped for 45 from 122 balls, giving the visitors their first wicket. His partnership with Muthuswamy was also terminated by the wicket.
Following Temba Bavuma’s approach from the first Test, the overnight team began cautiously and used a patient approach in the opening session. Muthusamy reached his half-century off 121 balls, and the two only punished loose balls. The visitors scored 316/6 in 111 overs at Tea in the first session, which was likewise wicketless.
Honors were initially distributed fairly due to a well-balanced and equitable first day. Due to the spinners’ ability to destroy the Proteas middle order and prevent any top order batsman from being set up for a significant score, India had already taken six wickets on Day 1.
